HP Pedicabs Turn Heads!
San Diego, Gaslamp Quarter, SD Convention Center
When HP showcased its StorageWorks Direct Attached Storage (DAS) hardware, they wanted to make an impression at the conference. Hewlett Packard wanted to offer a true “San Diego experience” to their prospective clients (pedicabs play a major part in the San Diego experience). Also, HP wanted to offer complimentary transportation for convention attendees during the convention.
VIP Pedicab, in partnership with VIP Outdoor Media and Elite Pedicabs, wrapped ten pedicabs. Each one with the Hewlett Packard logo and design.
Throughout the entire 3-day campaign the branded pedicabs offered dedicated exposure by remaining outside the main entrance/exit to the convention center for eight hours a day. Offering rides for convention attendees to their hotels, restaurants, and shops. The pedicabs also engaged in a “pedicab parade” at the end of each day. They went down 5th Ave toward the convention center and around the harbor. They generated a great deal of excitement and social media buzz.
